What is Microchanneling?
Microchanneling is minimally invasive collagen stimulation by microchannel delivery of peptides, growth factors and cytokines. A tiny array of micro-filaments is gently applied to create thousands of stimulating microchannels in your skin. It rejuvenates with little to no recovery time and produces both corrective and anti-aging results.
Each microchanneling treatment includes hot lavender towels to open the pores, a soothing double cleanse of the face and an application of stem cell serum prior to the microchannel procedure. After the procedure, a calming mask is applied. While it sets, enjoy a hand and arm massage. Once the mask has been removed, we will finish off your session with an additional layer of stem cell serum and sunscreen.
Our serums are derived from human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells and contain pro-healing, anti-inflammatory growth factors and cytokines. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have potent regenerating properties to improve skin firmness, elasticity, and tone.
Microchanneling improves the appearance of aging skin, increases the vitality of your skin, and reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, acne and acne scarring, stretch marks, hyperpigmentation, and scars. It also improves the clinical health of your skin by stimulating a rejuvenation cascade that your body has built in, just waiting to be activated. Microchanneling can also be used to stimulate hair follicles for hair regrowth in those with thinning hair.
+ More stimulation, less inflammation
+ Safe on all skin types
+ Virtually no downtime
+ Less aggressive than traditional microneedling
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments range greatly depending on what you are treating and the severity. For light anti-aging treatments, 2-3 treatments may be sufficient. For deeper wrinkles and acne scarring, 4-6 treatments may be required to achieve desired results. There is no limit to the number of treatments that one can receive as long as adequate time passes in between each treatment.
How long do the results last?
Up to 10 years depending on your skin care routine.
What will this improve the appearance of?
Microchanneling improved the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, [non-raised] keloid scarring, stretch marks, hair loss, and rosacea.
How long is the down time?
Wait a minimum of 90 minutes before applying anything else to this skin including sunscreen, makeup, moisturizer, and anything apart from what your technician applies to your face. Try to wait 2-3 days before resuming the use of irritating or inflammatory skin products. Visible skin irritation is often gone after as little as two hours.
How long should I wait in between treatments?
Leave at least 3 weeks in between treatments to let the healing cascade complete. For hair treatments allot 1-2 weeks to allow the scalp to return to an un-inflamed state.
Can I get microchanneling if I have had Botox?
Yes, as long as it has been over 3 weeks since your last injection.

+ Preferably no other products are applied for 24 hours, (although technically it is safe to apply products and makeup after about 2 hours).
+ Avoid exposure to pet dander and other irritants as best you can. You may experience a mild allergic reaction to pets and other things you typically do not react to within the first 24 hours.
+ Your skin may feel hot and tight, like a mild sunburn. Moisturize often.
+ For your first treatment, (and treatments at .25mm in general) you can expect mild redness and swelling, and a tight, warm sensation for between 4-24 hours.
+ Treatments with longer needle lengths may produce redness and swelling, along with tiny flecks of redness for between 4-72 hours.
+ Mild skin sloughing may occur for a few days after treatment.
+ Mild acne and milia can occur in rare cases. Don’t pick and they’ll go away in a few days.
+ Trans-Epidermal Water Loss is a common temporary side effect and could leave you feeling dry throughout the first week. Keep the recommended moisturizer with you during the day and apply as frequently as necessary to avoid dryness. The more you moisturize the better your results will be.
+ After 36-48 hours post-procedure: apply the Cellular Renewal Serum and Healing Accelerator for the best results. This is the most important part. Cleanse first and apply 1-3 pumps each. Apply daily, morning and night.
+ Return for a follow up treatment in about a month or as recommend.
While Microchanneling treatments are safe and effective for most women and men, there are some people who will not be good candidates for these types of treatments. Here is a general contraindication list that should be considered by anyone who is thinking of undergoing Microchanneling:
+ Pregnancy – if you are pregnant or nursing you are advised to not receive any Microchanneling treatments. To date there have been no studies conducted to see what effects these treatments may have on the unborn child, but as a general rule, pregnant women should stay away from any type of cosmetic/elective procedures.
+ Diabetes - unstable diabetes patients should not be treated due to problems with healing.
+ Accutane or any related acne medication - Accutane or any related drug should be discontinued for a minimum of 6 months prior to undergoing Microchanneling.
+ Active Herpes Simplex in the treatment area - treatment is possible once the outbreak is healed, however it may be advisable to take prescription strength antiviral medication to keep this condition in remission during the treatment series.
+ Dry skin - if your skin is overly dry, you will need to start moisturizing and ensure the condition is under control prior to undergoing any treatment.
+ Any active inflammatory skin condition e.g. eczema, psoriasis, infection, rash or any type of dermatitis at the treatment site (because it may aggravate the condition).
